Day 3: How I Track Goals That Get Done

I don’t write a bunch of goals at the start of each month.

I focus on real projects — the big things my businesses are working on. Each project has goals inside it. Every morning, I look at those goals and ask:

What needs to get done today?

Then I move those into one spot:
“Today’s Focus.”

After that, it’s time to move. Fast.

🛠 Step 1: Start With Projects

Everything starts with projects — not random goals.
If it’s not part of a real project, it’s probably not important.

That could be:

  • Opening a new location

  • Launching a product

  • Hiring a new team member

  • Fixing a system

Each one has clear goals inside it.

⬇️ Step 2: Pull Today’s Focus

Every morning, I go into those projects and ask:

  • What’s most important right now?

  • What’s slowing us down?

  • What needs to move today?

Then I pull 1–3 of those goals into my “Today’s Focus” list.

I don’t add more than I can handle. I pick what matters and get to work.

⚡️ Step 3: Take Action — Fast

Once I know what I need to do, I don’t wait.
I don’t overthink it. I take action.

Speed matters.
Small businesses win by moving fast — not waiting around.

Violence of action gets results.
That means going all in. Making bold moves.
Not just planning. Doing.

🗓 I Do This Every Day — Not Just Monthly

I don’t save this for the first of the month.
I do it every day — because that’s how you build momentum.

Each morning, I:

  1. Look at all my projects

  2. Pick the top priorities

  3. Move them into “Today’s Focus”

  4. Get them done

Why It Works

This works because it’s based on what’s real — not just wishful thinking.

I’m not chasing random goals. I’m pushing real projects forward.
And when you do that every day, the results stack up fast.

This is Day 3 of my 100-day blog series.
Each post is short, simple, and made for business owners who want to lead better and grow faster.
